JESSORE: Police on Sunday (June 25) arrested two leaders of the BNP with ‘handmade bombs’ from Benapole border area under Sharsha upazila in Jessore.

The arrestees are senior vice-president of Sharsha upazila Chhatra Dal Al Mamun Bablu, son of Oliar Rahaman of Navrun Buruzbagan village, and publicity secretary of Sharsha upazila Juba Dal Ismail Hossain Shanta, son of Ahad Sheikh of Navrun Kazirber village.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sharsha police station Tasmeem Alam said that they arrested the two leaders from Navrun Poshuhat area of Sharsha upazila at about 11:00 am.
