DHAKA: Customs intelligence and investigation department personnel detained a passenger and seized 6 gold bars weighing 600gm from his possession at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Friday (February 20).

The detainee was identified as Sourav Mina, 32.

Customs intelligence and investigation department issued a press release regarding this.

The detainee came to the airport by a Regent Airways flight leaving Thailand via Chittagong, in afternoon.

The gold bars worth Tk 30 lakh were recovered from his rectum.

The customs officials challenged him at the airport and recovered the bars.
