DHAKA: A woman was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her room while her husband’s throat half-slit, and two of their children lying unconscious in bed of their residence at Golapbag area of Motijheel in the city on Friday (August 17).

Josna Begum, 30, was declared dead. Her husband Swapan Miah, 40, and their two kids-Ifti and Toha, who were believed to be consumed sleeping pills, are undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Kids’ stomachs were washed.

“They were taken to hospital around 12:30 pm from their residence. The couple used to have frequent quarrel with each other. We rushed to them having learnt that they had an argument today,’ according to Abdul Karim, cousin of Josna.
