DHAKA: Golam Sarwar, editor of Bangla daily newspaper Samakal, passed away at the age of 75 on Monday night (August 13).

He breathed his last at 9:25pm while undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital. 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and President Abdul Hamid expressed profound shock and sorrow at his demise.
