CHITTAGONG: Maritime ports of the country have been asked to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no. 3 as the low over the North Bay and adjoining area intensified into a monsoon depression.

All fishing boats and trawlers in the Bay have been advised to remain close to the shore and proceed with caution until further notice.

However, light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal & Chittagong divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet & Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country, forecasted Met office in Dhaka.
