CHATTOGRAM: A housewife, aged around 40, was allegedly raped by miscreants at Goalpara village of Karnaphuli upazila of Chattogram on early Saturday (July 21).

Police detained 3 youths over the incident on Saturday noon. 

The detainees are- Md. Imran, 30, Md Shahjahan, 32 and Kausar Halim Munna, 18.

Confirming the matter to Banglanews, CMP additional deputy commissioner Arefin Jewel said the incident took place early morning when the woman went outside of the house following a quarrel with her husband. Three people have been arrested for raping the woman and efforts underway to catch another accused by the name Nurul Amin.

The victim housewife was admitted to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital’s One Stop Crisis center.
