NAOGAON: The driver and a passanger of an auto-rickshaw were killed as a bus rammed the auto on Naogaon-Rajshahi regional road in Manda upazila Thursday (July 19).

The deceased were identified as Taslim Uddin, 45, the auto driver, and Azizul Islam, 40, a passenger; both residents of Satil village under Manda.

Police said that Taslim and Azizul died on the spot as a Naogaon-bound bus of ‘Nibir Travels’ rammed the battery-propelled auto while the duo were en route to the upazila sadar, in the morning.

The bodies were recovered from the spot and sent to Naogaon sadar hospital morgue for autopsies, Manda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC, Investigation) Mahbub Alam told Banglanews.
