A fraction of DU teachers condemned the attack of Awami League (AL) student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on students and teachers at a protest rally of quota reform held at the Central Shaheed Minar on Monday (July 15).

“Following the attack, we met the proctor of DU. We were told that we didn’t take permission for before holding the rally. I don’t think there is any need of permission for staging rally on the campus as per university ordinance of 1973,” said Fahmidul Haque.
