JESSORE: Two persons were killed in a ‘gunfight’ between two rival groups of terrorists in Manirampur upazila on Saturday (June 22).

Mokarram Hossen, officer-in-charge of Manirampur Police station confirmed this to Banglanews this morning.

However, the identities could not be released till writing of this report.

On information, police went to Begaritola area on Jessore-Chuknagor highway. Sensing police presence, terrorists fled earlier.2 bodies were brought to the police station, which were found at the site, the OC said.

The internal conflict could be a cause of death. However, the matter is under investigation, the police official said.
