NAOGAON: Two mango traders were killed as a truck rammed an auto-rickshaw in Sapahar upazila of Naogaon Friday morning (June 22).

The deceased were identified as Salam, 24, a resident of Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj and Hiro, 30, a resident of Borochar Samaiya village under Bhola district.

Sapahar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamsul Alam Shah told Banglanews that the duo died on the spot as the auto-rickshaw the boarded was collided face-to-face with a paddy-laden truck, at Sapahar Bazar Godown Para area, in the morning.

On information, police rushed to the spot and took the bodies.

The truck was seized but the driver managed to flee away, added the OC.
