Gold prices fall

DHAKA: Gold prices have dropped up to Tk 1,166 per bhori in Bangladesh in line with the international market. On the contrary, traditional gold price went up.

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BJS) announced it on Wednesday (June 20). The revised price for gold will be effective from Thursday (June 21). 

As per the new price, 22-karat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) will be sold at Tk 49,805 against the previous rate of Tk 50,971 while 21-karat at Tk 47,531 against Tk 48,997 and 18-karat at Tk 42,457 against Tk 43,623.

However, Traditional gold price has been hiked Tk 1,166 per bhori to be sold at Tk 27,585 a bhori from Tk 26,419.

The BJS release also added that the price of per bhori silver has been remain unchanged at Tk 1,050.
