CHATTOGRAM: A pick-up van and his staff were killed after the vehicle hit a truck from behind on a mud road besides Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Sitakunda upazila on Friday (May 25).

The deceased were identified as Md Khokon, 35, the driver, and Ariful Islam, 40. 

Kumira Highway Police In-Charge Md Masud Alam confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

“The truck was stranded on a mud road. The pick-up van, carrying machineries goods from Khulna, left the highway and hit the truck from behind,” he said.

The duo died on the spot.

Fire service workers went to the spot and recovered the bodies.
