NARAYANGANJ: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader directed authorities concerned to keep all CNG stations open for 24 hours for four days-before and after of Eid ul-Fitr.
Obaidul Quader, also, General Secretary of ruling party gave the order to complete all repair work of the highway by June 8.
The Minister came up with this directive in a meeting titled “Steps to be taken to sort out traffic congestion on Dhaka-Chattogram highway,” held in Meghna area under Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj on Tuesday (May 22).
The minister said, “The government is working relentlessly to get rid of traffic jam. All necessary measures will be taken for the ease of Eid holidaymakers, who are going to their home districts.”
Besides, he asked the authorities to finish the work of Meghna Toll Plaza by June 8.
MP AKM Salim Osman of Narayanganj constituency-5, MP Liaquat Hossain Khoka of Narayanganj constituency-3, MP Nazrul Islam Babu of Narayanganj constituency 2, Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Rabbi Mia, District Police Super Moinul Haq and others attended the meeting.
