DHAKA: Police recovered the body of a suspected drug peddler from a water body in Meradia area of Dhaka’s Khilgaon.

The deceased was identified as Harun, 30. 

Khilgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moshiur Rahman told Banglanews that they detained two persons earlier in a drive in the same area early on Sunday.

On information from them, the body of Harun was recovered from the water body.

Following legal process, the body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue, for an autopsy.

Police suspected all the three of being drug peddlers and drug addicts too.

Investigation is underway over the incident, added the OC.
