DHAKA: Father and son died after being electrocuted in Jatrabari area of the city on Thursday (April 26).

The deceased are: Abdul Hannan, 50, and his 10-year-old son Arman.

The accident happened, around 3:30 pm, in a house located in Sheikhdi Westpara Muktijodda road under Jatrabari.

Arman was playing in front of the house. He got electrocuted somehow. Hannan rushed to rescue son. As a result, he too suffered the same fate, quoting a local-Nurujjamal.

Immediately after the accident, they were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctors declared them dead around 4:40 pm.

Bacchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police outpost said that bodies were kept in the morgue for post-mortem examination.
