2 bodies found separately in Jhalakathi

JHALAKATHI: Police recovered two bodies of youths from separate areas under Rajapur upazila of Jhalakathi.

On April 24, the body of Jahanghir Hossen Hawlader, 27, son of late Munsur Ali Hawlader was recovered from Tulatuli area of the upazila’s bypass street in the morning.

The rickshaw driver Jahanghir married sister-in-law of his elder brother nine months ago. They divorced due to family feud recently. Family claims Jahanghir hanged himself from wall, quoting local sources.

On information, the body was sent to Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital morgue. Also, the investigation is underway, said Shamsul Arefin, officer-in-charge of Rajapur Police station.

Earlier, police recovered the body of Shukur Ali Hawlader, 21, son of Dulal Hawlader, from South Vatkati village under Boraiya union of Rajapur upazila.

On Monday (April 23), the attack was carried out on Shukur Ali at night.

Shukur Ali used to share ride on his motorbike on rent.

The deceased bears marks of injury in head and other parts of the body. He was believed to be stabbed to death by his rivals. His motorcycle and mobile phone were seized. The body was sent to a local hospital for post mortem examination. Legal action will be taken, said OC Shamsul Arefin.
