DHAKA: Police arrested former director general of National Security Intelligence (NSI) M Wahidul Haque, on charge of committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War of 1971.

He was arrested from his residence in the capital’s Gulshan Tuesday (April 24). 

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Prosecutor Barrister Turin Afroz confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Wahidul is accused of gunned down some 5-6 persons at Rangpur Cantonment on March 28 in 1971, said Turin.
