DHAKA: Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) takes the responsibility of bearing all the costs for the treatment of Rozina who lost a leg in a bus accident in Dhaka.

Road Transport & Highways Division (RTHD) Secretary Md Nazrul Islam and BRTC Chairman Farid Ahmed Bhuiyan visited Rozina at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) in Dhaka Saturday (April 21).

On behalf of BRTC, The RTHD secretary handed over Tk 50,000 to the family members of Rozina, for her treatment. 

Further assistance will be given, if requires, said Nazrul Islam. 

Teenager Rozina lost her right leg as a double-decker BRTC bus ran over her on Airport Road in Banani of Dhaka on Friday night (April 20).

The bus driver has been nabbed and legal action is underway against him, BRTC Chairman told Rozina’s family Saturday.
