NOAKHALI: A Bangladeshi youth was gunned down by some unknown miscreants at his own house in Gauteng, a northern province of South Africa, on early Friday (April 20).

The deceased was identified as Nur Hossain Apollo Chowdhury, 32, son of one Habibullah Chowdhury, hailed from Muchapur union in Companiganj upazila of Noakhali district. 

Quoting deceased’s family members, local UP chairman Nazrul Islam Shahin told Banglanews that Apollo returned home from workplace on Thursday night and some miscreants attacked his house with firearms after midnight. He died on the spot from the bullet injuries.
