JHENAIDAH: A district court on sentenced two persons to life term imprisonment in a case field over killing a farmer in Jhenaidah sadar upazila.

The convicts are identified as Monser Ali and Robiul Islam.

The court also fined the duo Tk 10,000 each.

Of them, Robiul is absconding.

Jhenaidah Additional Sessions Judge Golam Azam announced the verdict Thursday (April 19).

According to the case statement, a farmer named Milon from Narikelbaria village under the sadar upazila was found dead with slit-throat body on January 6, 2004.

Father of the deceased filed a case with the sadar police station, accusing 19 persons.

Milon was murdered by the rivals following previous enmity, said the case statement.
