DHAKA: Three female members of a burglar-gang allegedly looted gold ornaments after entering into a house in guise of tenant and making its residents unconscious in Kadamtali area of Dhaka.

The victims, Safia Begum, 46 and her daughter Sima Akhter Mim, 15, were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The unusual incident took place in a house in Rayerbagh of Kadamtali on Thursday noon (April 5). Safia Begum is also a tenant in the house.

Safia’s son Rakib Hasan told Banglanews that three women came to their home at noon as tenants looking for a new place to rent. At one point, he (Rakib) went to mosque for offering prayer and during this time the disguised robbers made his mother and sister unconscious by giving them some kind of drink. By the time he discovered his mother and sister in unconscious state, the burglars have long gone with gold ornaments.

DMCH police outpost in-charge SI Bacchu Mia told Banglanews that the duo was admitted to the hospital following full abdominal wash.
