Attack on police won’t be tolerated: PM Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina adorning the newly appointed police chief Javed Patwary with the rank badge of the IGP at Ganobhaban

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has warned that her government will not tolerate abominable acts like attack on police force. 

The Primer said it after adorning the newly appointed police chief Javed Patwary with the rank badge of the IGP at Ganobhaban, the official residence of the Prime Minister, on Wednesday evening (January 31).

Referring to the Tuesday’s attack on police in front High court, Hasina said, “We haven’t seen such dishonorable act in a long time and we will not tolerate it.”

The PM also asked the new IGP to work to eradicate militancy, terrorism and drug addiction and maintain peace in country so that development trend continues.

Sheikh Hasina also praised the strong role of law enforcing agencies in many events occurred recently.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and former IGP AKM Shahidul Huq were also present at the program.
