Education Ministry staffer goes ‘missing’

DHAKA: A staffer of the Education Ministry went missing from city’s Banani area on Thursday (January 19), says his family.

The man, identified as Md. Nasiruddin, is an upper-division clerk of the Education Ministry. 

Moreover, he was also general secretary of Bangladesh Secondary and Higher Education Government Officials-Employees Welfare Council and joint secretary of Education Ministry officials-employees co-operative society.

On Friday noon (January 19), his brother-in-law Naim Ahmed Julhas told Banglanews that Nasir went missing on her way to the ministry from Banani around 3:00pm Thursday. 

A General Diary (GD-1218) was filed with the Banani police station, he said.

Banani police station inspector (Investigation) borhanuddin told Banglanews that following the GD file, police is investigation the matter.
