NARAYANGANJ: At least 25 people were injured in spate of clashes during hawker eviction drives conducted by City Corporation in Chasara of Narayanganj on Tuesday evening (January 16).

At one stage, police had to shot 47 rounds of bullets and nine rounds of tear shells to contain the situation. 

Moreover, four people including one bullet-hit were admitted to Dhaka Medical college Hospital.

Fatullah model police station officer-in-charge (OC) Shahjalal said the situation is under control now. Extra police and RAB members were deployed in the area.
