BOGRA:  Police, in a joint drive, detained four persons of Neo JMB, an offshoot of banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh, from Mokamtala Bazar area of Shibganj upazila in Bogra on Wednesday night (December 6).

The detainees were identified Babul Akhter alias Babul Master-the military head of the northern region, and three others.
 
Additional Superintend of Police (ASP) of the district media cell Sanatan Chakraborty confirmed the incident at around 11:00 am on Thursday (December 7).

Babul Akhter alias Babul Master started leading the Neo-JMB in the northern region after Holey Artisan Bakery attack planner Rajiv Gandhi alias Jahangir Alam was arrested.

In the drive, a 9-mm pistol, 5 9-mm bullets, 1 magazine, 10 bullets, 1 machete and 4 Burmese knives were seized from them.
