MYMENSINGH: A Chittagong-bound train ‘Bijoy Express’ derailed during a shunting operation at Mymensingh railway station on Friday evening (Nov 17).

Station master Laboni Akhter Akhi said the train, derailed around 7:00pm, was scheduled to leave for Chittagong at 8:00pm. 

“A compartment of Bijoy express derailed during shunting operation. Railway mechanical department is already working to recover the compartment. Hopefully it will be ready soon”, she added.
