DHAKA: Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) resumed operation of the water transport services on all the naval routes, lifting the earlier restriction imposed on Saturday (October 21).

BIWTA lifted the cautionary signal no.2 in all river ports of the country Sunday (October 22) as the weather condition improves.

BIWTA Public Relations Officer Mobarak Hossain Majumder told Banglanews that the water vessels on all forms are plying on all the routes as the cautionary signal has been removed.

However, no.2 local cautionary signal was hoisted in all the river ports of the country Saturday, in wake of adverse weather accompanying heavy wind and downpour countrywide.
