CHITTAGONG: A drug peddler was killed in a shootout with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Ice Factory Road of Chittagong city Thursday (October 19), said RAB.

The deceased was identified as Mohammed Hossain, 42.

Besides, two lakhs of yaba, two foreign pistols and a one-shooter gun were recovered from the spot.

RAB-7 ASP Mimtanur Rahman told Banglanews that on secret information they conducted a drive to nab the drug peddlers at Barisal Colony area in Ice Factory Road at the night.

They retaliated as the drug peddlers were firing at them.

Hossain was found dead as the gunshot ended.
