DHAKA: The first phase of the Biswa Ijtema, the second Muslim congregation after the holy Hajj, will be held from January 12 to 14 in 2018.  

After a four day break, the second phase of the event will begin on January 19 and end on 21 of this month.

The announcement was made by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal in a meeting held at the ministry on Monday (October 16).

Watch towers, archways and other security measures will be in place at the Ijtema, he said.
