BAGERHAT: A suspected robber was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-8) in Shoilakhal area in Sharankhola range of the Sundarbans on early Monday (Oct 16).

The deceased was identified as Md Moktar Molla, the second in command of a robber gang locally known as Liton Bahini.

Confirming the matter, RAB-8 Captain Lieutenant Cornel Anowaruzzaman said huge amount of firearms and ammo were recovered from the spot.
