Gold prices fall again

DHAKA: Gold prices have dropped up to Tk 1,166 per bhori in Bangladesh for the second time in one week, in line with the international market.

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BJS) announced it on Monday (Sep 25). The revised price for gold will be effective from Tuesday (Sep 25). Earlier on Sep 20, gold prices went down for the first time.

As per the new price, 22-karat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) will be sold at Tk 47,822 against the previous rate of Tk 48,988, 21-karat at Tk 45,723 against Tk 46,773 and 18-karat at Tk 40,241 against Tk 41,116.

Traditional gold price has been lowered to Tk 25,369 a bhori from Tk 26,244.

The BJS release also added that the price of per bhori silver has been remain unchanged at Tk 1,050.
