DHAKA: At least five members of the family, including three children, sustained critical burn injuries at Shaympur in Old Dhaka in the city in the early hours on Friday (September 22).  

The fire broke out in a room of their residence locates at Road No. 3 adjacent to the Lal Mosque at Shaympur.

All injured were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) immediately.

The injured are-- Mohammad Enayet Hossain, 40, owner of grocery shop, his wife Moriom Begum, 35, their three children Anny, 5, Habiba, 3, and Jubayer, 2.

It was known that the fire originated from a room of the residence at about 3:00 am.
