MUNSHIGANJ:  At least six people were found dead in a fire engulfed at a textile factory in Muktarpur area of Munshiganj Sadar upazila Wednesday (September 20).

Muktarpur Naval-Police Camp Officer-in-Charge (OC) Joynal Abedin told Banglanews that the fire ensued at Ideal Textile Mills in Muktarpur Toll Plaza area, at around 10:00am.

Narayanganj Fire Service Deputy Director Md. Farid Uddin said that they recovered the bodies from different floors of the factory building in the noon.

Besides, four women workers of the factory, who fell trapped inside, were rescued.

The fire might have originated during a wielding work in the building.
 
However, three units of Munshiganj and Narayanganj Fire service stations are working to douse the blaze.

Total casualties weren’t reported immediately.
