KISHOREGANJ: Two people were killed and at least 11 others injured as a tractor rammed into an auto-rickshaw on Kishoreganj-Nikli Road Tuesday night (September 19).

The deceased were identified as—Rafi, 15, son of Nurul Islam in Sehra village of Karshakorial union under Kishoreganj sadar upazila, and Habibullah, son of Bacchu Bhuiyan in Gaglail village of Tanapatuli union under the same upazila. 

Locals said that a tractor rammed into an auto-rickshaw in Korshakorial Brickfield area of Nikli, leaving Rafi and Habibullah dead on the spot while the other passengers of the auto-rickshaw were injured including the driver, at around 09:30pm.

Some of the injured were admitted to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital.

Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khondker Showkat Jahan told Banglanews that the tractor was seized while the driver managed to flee.
