ACC files case against 3 PGCB’s engineer, officials

PIROJPUR: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against three officials of the Barisal Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) on charge of embezzling electric materials at Bhandaria upazila in Pirojpur.

Deputy Director of ACC Barisal Md Matiur Rahman filed the case with Bhandaria police station on Sunday (August 20).

Barisal PGCB’s former executive engineer Laxmi Narayan Bhuiyan, who is now posted in Khulna as caretaker engineer, is prime accused in the case. The two other accused are retired sub-engineer of Md Hanif Hossain Gazi and Anowar Hossain, who is now posted in Dhaka.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhandaria police station Kamruzzaman Talkuder confirmed the matter to the Banglanews.
