ASHULIA, SAVAR: A fire broke out at a medicine factory in Koturia area of Ashulia, on the outskirts of the capital city early Saturday (August 19).

DEPZ Fire Service (Ashulia) Senior Station Officer Abdul Hamid told Banglanews that the fire ensued at the 2nd floor of the factory building of ‘Koturia Guardian Home Care’ at around 07:45am.

On information, two units of firefighters reached the factory and doused the fire after working half an hour.

The fire might have been originated from electric short circuit, said the fire service official.

However, he couldn’t confirm about the casualties immediately.
