BARGUNA: A female primary school teacher was allegedly gang-raped inside the classroom while her husband was tied up by miscreants in Betagi upazila of Barguna.

The rape victim herself filed a case with the Betagi police station accusing six people on Thursday midnight (Aug 17).

Following the case filing, Barguna Superintendent of Police (SP) Bijoy Bosak visited the crime scene and sent the victim to Barguna General Hospital for medical examination on Friday morning (Aug 18).

The accused are- Sumon Biswas, 35, son of one Hiron Biswas from Kadamtala village of Hosnabad union, Md Russell, 24, son of one Abdul Barek Mia, Sumon Kazi, 30, son of one Kuddus Kazi, Md. Rabiul, 18, son of one Md. Sultan Hossain, Md. Hasan, 25, son of one Abdur Rahman and Md Jewel, 30, son of one Md. Abdur Rahman Howlader.    

It has been alleged in the case that the accused men tried to forcefully enter the school premises while the victim and her husband were talking inside the classroom. At some point the accused broke inside the school as the victim quickly shut the front gate in a fright. They tied up her husband after beat up and raped her in turn.    

Betagi police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Mamun told Banglanews that attempts to arrest the accused are underway.
