SIRAJGANJ: An elderly woman drowned in the Fuljor River in Sirajganj district.

Her body was recovered from a branch of Phuljor River in Depholbari area on Monday (July 17).

The deceased was identified as Abiron Nesa, 70, wife of late Akher Ali of Depholbari village of Borohor union in Ullahpara upazila.

Wire House Inspector Dianatul Dinar of Ullapara Fire Service said that Abiron slipped into river on Sunday afternoon (July 16).
