KHULNA: Two terrorists were killed in a ‘gunfight’ between police and the terrorists in Khulna city in the early hours on Monday (July 17).

The deceased were identified as Babu alias Guddu Babu, 45, and Al Mahmud, 25.

The incident of ‘gunfight’ took place behind the Railway Provati School in Khulna city.

Assistant deputy commissioner (ADC) of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Monira Sultana confirmed the matter to the Banglanews.

Guddu Babu was arrested earlier. Police said that they along with Guddu Babu conducted a raid at the area to recover the arms. At the time, the gunfight took place between the police and the terrorists.

The duo were injured in the gunfight. They succumbed to injuries at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
