DHAKA: Authorities have taken a four-tier security measure for the country’s main Eid Jamaat (congregation) in and around National Eidgah.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia informed this to reporters after inspecting the National Eidgah ground at 11:30 in the morning on Saturday (June 24).   

Meanwhile, stringent security measures have been taken throughout the capital city on the occasion Eid ul-Fitr, he said.

However, about 500 eid jamaats will be held in Dhaka this time, he added.
