GAZIPUR: Police recovered the slit-throat body of garment worker from Salna area of Gazipur City Corporation on Friday morning (June 23).

The deceased was identified as Ziaur Rahman, 37, son of one late Zabed Ali, hailed from Bakakura village under Jhinaigati thana of Sherpur district. He used to work at a sweater factory in the area. 

Joydebpur police station sub-inspector (SI) Mohammad Al-Amin said, on information, police recovered the body from near Salna Forest Office and sent it to Gazipur Shaheed Tazuddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital morgue.

Injury marks were found in the ribs. It seems that miscreants killed him and dumped the body in the there. The matter is being investigated, he added.
