DSCC fixes beef, mutton prices for Ramadan DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon at a meeting with meat traders

DHAKA: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon has fixed the prices of red meats during the upcoming month of Ramadan.

The mayor announced the newly fixed prices of different types of meat at a discussion meeting with meat traders held at DSCC conference room on Tuesday (May 23). 

According the DSCC fixed price, domestic cow meat will be sold at Tk 475, bolder or foreign cow meat at Tk 440, Buffalo meat at Tk 440, mutton at Tk 725 and sheep or goat meat at Tk 620.

The mayor also said the listed price will be applicable from Ramadan 1 to 26.

A monitoring team will be formed to oversee the markets under DSCC areas and legal measures will be taken if any irregularities were found, the mayor added.
