Ambulance comes out with woman in Chapai 'militant den' The ambulance seen moving out of suspected militant den in Chapainawabganj with a woman

CHAPAINAWABGANJ: An ambulance was seen moving out of the suspected militant den at Shibpur village under Kansat union at Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj during the operation there.  

The ambulance was seen coming out of the militant den with a woman just minutes before 5:00 pm on Thursday (April 26).

The intelligence source said that the woman name is Sumaiya, 35. She is wife of militant Rafiqul Islam alias Abu. Sumaiya received injury during operation.

Meanwhile, the ‘Operation Eagle Hunt’, which is now underway at the militant den, will end within short time. Then, the law enforcers will brief media.

Deputy police commissioner of SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) Proloy Kumar Joarder was leading the operation.

A joint team of SWAT, CTTC (Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime) unit, armed police battalion (APBn) and police were conducting the drive.

The operation was begun on Wednesday evening (April 26). Later, it was postponed at about 8:30 pm. The operation was resumed on Thursday morning.

Later in morning, a team of bomb disposal unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrived at the ‘militant hideout’.

Earlier, law enforcers cordoned off the militant den since Wednesday morning.
