PATUAKHALI: A housewife was killed by lightning strike in Patuakhali district on Saturday (April 22).

The deceased was identified as Manzu Begum, 35, wife of Monir Mridha of Charlaxmi village under Charmantaz union of Rangabali upazila in the district.

The housewife was struck by the lightning strike at about 3:30 pm when she was returning to her home from a crop field.     

She was immediately recovered and sent to the Patuakhali Sadar Hospital. But she died on her way of hospital.
