BARGUNA: Police on Saturday (April 22) recovered the body of a youth, who went into missing on Friday (April 21), from the Bishakhali River in Barguna.

The deceased was identified as Shakil Zubayer Khan Tutul, 37, son of Firoz Alam Khan of Gulshan residential area in Dhaka.  

Tutul’s body was recovered from near Bainchotki Ferry Ghat of the Bishakhali River at Patharghata upazila about 6:00 pm.

Tutul went to Bainchotki village to visit his brother-in-law’s home. He went into missing after a boat capsized in the river.

Sub-inspector (SI) of Kakchira shipping-police check post Kamrul Islam told Banganews that they recovered the body and handed over it to the Patharghata police station.
