GOPALGANJ: A man was killed and 10 others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a cavard van in Gopalganj on Saturday (April 22).

The deceased was identified as Abdul Jabbar, 43, a resident of Moulovipara area of Khulna city.

The incident took place at Chandra Diglia area in Gopalganj sadar at about 7:00 am. A Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Tungipara Paribahan’ hit the cavard van coming from opposite direction, leaving Abdul Jabbar dead on the spot.

The injured were taken to the Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Gopalganj sadar police station Selim Reza confirmed the matter to the Banglanews.
