KHULNA: Four people were killed and several injured in a road accident as a speedy bus plunges into a roadside ditch on Khulna-Satkhira highway near Baliakhali area in Dumuria upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon (March 26).

The deceased were identified as Krishnapad Mandal, 25, Rajesh Sardar, 20, Laltu Sardar, 28 and Goloak Mistri, 20, all hailed from Atulia area in Munshiganj upazila of Satkhira district.

Confirming the matter, Dumuria police station officer-in-charge (OC) Suvash Biswas told Banglanews that a Satkhira-bound passenger bus lost control and fell into a ditch around 5:00pm leaving four people dead. 

The bodies were sent to Khulna Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) morgue and the injured are undergoing treatment in Sadar Health Complex and KMCH, he added.
