CHUADANGA: The death toll in the Chuadanga road accident rose to 13. All of the victims are local day laborers. Four others are currently undergoing treatment.

Earlier on Sunday morning (March 26), a speedy truck hit a human hauler known as ‘Bhotbhoti’ carrying 18-19 people leaving nine people dead on spot and several others injured at Damurhuda Upazila in Chuadanga district.  

Later, four of injured succumbed to injuries at hospital. All the victims are, however, laborers.

Confirming the matter to the Banglanews, Assistant superintendent of police (ASP) of Damurhuda-Jibannagar circle Kalim Ullah said that they seized the killer truck but the driver managed to escape the scene.
