DINAJPUR: At least 65 residential houses were gutted in a devastating fire at Subarnakhali Hazipara under Khansama upazila in Dinajpur at early hours on Thursday (March 23).

On information, three unit of fire service from Nilphamari sadar and Saidpur rushed to the spot and doused the flame. But 65 houses were damaged before the fire came under control, said officer-in-charge (OC) of Khansama police station Abdul Matin.

The OC told Banglanews that the fire originated from the home of one Farida Begum.
