FENI: A driver and a helper of a parked truck were killed on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Mirsharai upazila in Chittagong in a hit-and-run by another truck on Wednesday morning (March 22). 

Police recovered the bodies of driver Rafique Dali, 26, and helper Shimul Mia, 24, son of Bishoykhalai under Keshabpur upazila in Khulna.  

The victims’ truck was earlier parked at Borotakia area under Khoiyachhara union of the Mirsharai upazila. Another Dhaka-bound truck hit the parked truck from behind, leaving the driver and the helper dead on the spot.  

In-charge of Zorarganj highway police outpost Shafiqul Islam told the Banglanews that the Dhaka-bound truck was on the spot while another Dhaka-bound truck hit it. Police also seized the killer truck, he said.
